Inside The Garden Fish Bar

Our story

A traditional Kew chippy — done properly.

Family-run on Sandycombe Road for years, we’ve kept it simple: fish in fresh from Grimsby every morning, hand-cut Maris Piper chips, and everything cooked to order when you arrive.

We don’t pre-fry. That’s why it’s worth the wait — or better, why we built online ordering, so it’s ready when you walk in.

Inside the shop

Friday teatime. Locals queueing for their usual, tourists discovering us for the first time, and the kitchen flat out behind the counter.

Customers queueing at the counter as staff fry to order
A typical Friday evening — it can get busy.
Two diners at a table with plates of fish and chips
Plenty of seating if you'd rather eat in.

Eaten with us recently?

We'd love a quick review — it's the single biggest help to a small family-run shop like ours. Two minutes is all it takes.
